Worship Internship Overview

   About Our Church

South Lake Church is a community of believers in Crown Point, Indiana that exists to connect all people to CHRIST, his COMMUNITY, and his CALLING. God established this church for the people of Lake and Porter counties (The Region), so that we could lead those people into a transformational relationship with God. Our vision is to positively impact those we come into contact with in such a way that needs are met, people are healed, and lives are forever changed.

One of our core values is Christ-exalting worship, expressed in this manner:

“We desire to exalt Christ through the ministry of the Word, which empowers us by the Holy Spirit to offer up our lives as sacrifices of praise to God. Corporate worship is a dialogue between God and His gathered people. God initiates worship by speaking to us through His Word and calling us to respond. We respond to Him in faith as we sing His praises, pray, give financially, obey his Word, and commit our lives in service to Him.”

   Internship Vison

The primary goal of the worship ministry is to raise up genuine worshipers of the Triune God. Secondly, we want to identify, equip, and mobilize individuals who will humbly and skillfully serve to fulfill God’s purposes for the local church. This internship program will aid in the overall vision of the worship ministry through mentoring, training, and providing experience to college students interested in vocational ministry.

The purpose of the internship program is to offer a broad scope of exposure to Christian ministry and to partner a student’s core university education with practical ministry experience in a local church setting. Our hope is that both the intern and church body would be mutually edified throughout this program.
